General Questions

Where are you located?

Our corporate office is located at Pentagon Plaza. 23 Opebi Road, Ikeja. Lagos State. Let us know if you want to visit so we make sure someone is available to attend to you.

What are your opening hours?

Our official working hours are between 9am - 5pm (Monday - Friday). However we work 7 days a week to make sure our services are available to you.

Do I need to come to your office before my loan is approved?

No. You do not need to come to our office. The whole loan application and management process is done online from the comfort of any internet connected personal device (PC, Laptop, Tablet, or Smart phone)

How long does it take to process a Credit Wallet loan?

Less than 24 hours. Most of our loans are disbursed between 2 two 3 hours after the Credit Offer is accepted and all identification documents verified. necessary.

Do you have a mobile App?

No, but we plan to have one as soon as it is necessary to do so.

Loan Application Questions

How much can I borrow? For How long?

You can borrow between N30,000 to N500,000 for 3 months up to 12 months.

Do I need to have collateral?

No. You do not need to have collateral to get a Credit Wallet loan.

What documents do I need to apply for a loan?

You need to have a recent passport photograph and one valid Identity Card (National ID Card, Voters Card, International Passport, or Staff ID Card etc.)

I applied for a loan but have not heard back from you. Why?

You may have entered inaccurate details in your application form. For example your phone number or email is incorrect. If you apply and  have not heard back from us after three working days then call us on 07085698828 or email customersuccess@creditwallet.ng

I already have a Credit Wallet loan. Can I apply for another one?

No. You can only have one active Credit Wallet loan at a time.

Why was my loan application rejected?

We are responsible lenders. This means sometimes we have to reject a loan application when we feel a loan could make your current financial situation worse.

Bank and BVN Questions

Why is my Bank Verification Number (BVN) required?

This is a requirement from CBN. We also use your BVN to verify and protect your identify.

I don’t know my BVN. What do I do?

You can get your BVN from your bank. Please contact your bank to request this information.

I have forgotten my phone number associated with my BVN. What do I do?

You can get this phone number from your bank. Please contact your bank to request this information.

Why is my salary bank account required?

Your salary bank account is the primary way we deduct your agreed monthly repayments. It is necessary to help you make stress-free and prompt repayments.

Can you disburse into an account that is not my salary account?

Yes, we can disburse into any bank account of your preference. The bank account must be associated with your BVN.

Loan Repayment Questions

How do I repay my loan?

In almost all cases we automatically deduct your agreed monthly repayment from your monthly salary. However on some occasions we are unable to do so. If that is the case we will contact you to make a direct payment into our nominated bank account.

What happens if my employer fails to deduct the agreed monthly repayment?

If this happens we will contact you (by phone or email) to request a direct payment into our nominated bank account.

I want to pay up (liquidate) my loan early. What do I do?

That's fine, simply call call us on 07085698828 or email customersuccess@creditwallet.ng. Please note there is an early repayment fee of up to 15% of the prinicpal balance (plus loan fees) for early repayments.

Can I suspend my monthly repayments for some time?

No. We currently do not offer repayment holidays.

I have lost my job and can no longer make the agreed monthly repayments. What do I do?

We know unexpected and unfortunate things happen that's why insure all our loans. If you loose your job then please call us immediately on 07085698828 or email customersuccess@creditwallet.ng

Credit Report Questions

What is my Credit History?

Your credit history is a record of how good or bad you are at repaying your debts. It is a record of your credit history from a number of sources, including banks, credit card companies, collection agencies, and governments. A good credit history is essential for you to be able to obtain future credit from any financial institution.

How do I get a copy of my Credit Report?

You can get a copy of your Credit History by contacting any of the licensed Credit Bureau agencies in Nigeria. If you need help with this then call call us on 07085698828 or email customersuccess@creditwallet.ng

Why is it important to have a good Credit History?

A good Credit History is an asset. It makes it easier for you to get loans in the future whether this is a short term personal loan or a long term mortgage loan. Think of it as your personal financial brand. A good credit history improves your brand while a poor one spoils it.

Does my Credit Wallet loan affect my Credit History?

Yes it does. We notify the Credit Bureau agencies of your loan repayment performance. So when you make your monthly repayments as scheduled it positively affects your Credit History. However if you consistemtly miss your monthly repayments it will have a negative impact on your Credit History.
